Born in Equatorial Guinea- a small country in Central Africa- educated and bred in the United States, Mozambique, Spain and Nigeria, I am Rosa Malango, mother, daughter, sibling and emerging leader. After 20 years of service to the United Nations, I am honoured to have been appointed to serve as the United Nations Resident Coordinator, Designated Official and UNDP Resident Representative in Uganda. English, Portuguese, Spanish and French are languages I am comfortable with. Mandarin, I have just begun to learn. I am the first person from Equatorial Guinea to serve the United Nations at this level, potentially setting a precedent particularly for young girls and women back home.
I am a daughter of parents who were part of my home country’s independence movement, my late father was part of the first ever delegation to sit at the UN General Assembly when Equatorial Guinea was welcomed as its 126th member. My parents instilled in me a commitment to hard work and breaking new ceilings. I am a woman of faith, the first of four children and a single parent of a now thriving miracle son.
After years in Africa and Headquarters, I was deployed to Guatemala under a UN talent program for high potential women leaders to gain a first-hand exposure to the leadership challenges and opportunities associated with serving as a UN Resident Coordinator/DO & UNDP Resident Representative.
I am a firm believer in the United Nations, its values, principles and resources. The UN is the largest partnership framework in the World and I work constantly to identify opportunities for partners to join us in being proactive, innovative and relevant in responding to the challenges ahead of us. I believe in teamwork, everyone has a contribution to make and every role is important.
I believe that my combined responsibilities reflect the key components of our service to the people. The Peace-Development-Safety nexus is important if we are to bring to bear the remarkable wealth of knowledge, experience and skills that we have as the United Nations as a contribution to attain inclusive, sustainable and innovative national development.
One of my favorite quotes from the UN Charter is Article 1.3 it reads: To achieve international cooperation in solving international problems of an economic, social, cultural, or humanitarian character, and in promoting and encouraging respect for human rights and for fundamental freedoms for all without discrimination as to race, sex, language, or religion;…

We share grief with the people of Iran and all victims of the devastating earthquake which has claimed more than 500 innocent lives in the Persian Gulf and some parts of the Middle East.
Our condolences go to the Government of Tehran for this tragedy. We stand with those helpless and shelter less people.
This incidence reminds us of the Japanese Earthquake, Tsunami and Fukushima Nuclear Tragedy whose wounds remain fresh in our lives

OUR THOUGHTS ARE WITH THE VICTIMS OF LAS VEGAS MASSACRE.
Our thoughts are with the people of Lasvegas and all citizens of United States including other nationals who have perished in the Massacre that befell the world on 2nd October when a “terrorist” rained bullets on innocent revelers.
The lives of these victims of the bloodiest attack since America creation will always stay in our hearts.
Heal The Planet Global Organisation-HTP calls for quick investigation into the incidence and encourages people to a have a free mind of expression of their grievances through speaking out our rather resorting to violence.
God bless America
Kivumbi Earnest Benjamin (Hon)
Atleast I have caught a glimpse of the event. It was really unfortunate that I didn’t attend but I was with you in heart and on mind since Iam part of HTP Family.
Allow me to extend my sincere greetings and authentic appreciations to all members who left their personal responsibilities hanging to come and attend the Summit. My God reward you abundantly and all you discussed come out positive for the future benefit of our lovely Nation Uganda, East Africa, Africa and the entire World at large. Oh God bless Uganda, Bless East Africa, Bless Africa, oh our living God bless the Whole World. Amen.
I know there are so many challenges the Organization (HTP) is encountering within its efforts to Change The Dark Continent into a glittering and shinning one. Members, allow me to assure you that Those are (challenges) just stumbling blocks always inevitable in daily life. You all know challenges are books we have to read every day. Let’s not loosen the grip, we should always stay focused since Success belongs to those who can see light at the end of the tunnel.
Let me also take this opportunity to thank you all dear members of HTP for the work you’ve done , still doing and that I assign you to continue doing…. this of linking people from different areas, countries and Globally in general hence extending the boarders purposely for expansion of HTP organization. Please, please keep that spirit high. let people know about this, let them know our Mission.Did you know that there’re so many actions that people frequently, profusingly do degrading the World such as poor hygiene, waste disposal, unnecessary conflicts that result into bloodshed, political, instability??!! … to mention but a few.
All the above mentioned grievances can’t be got rid of unless the society is aware of their sources and consequences. Currently, planet Earth is experiencing global warming . “A deadly MONSTER” silently,,, smoothly,,,, causing deaths and extinction among Fauna and Flora but the World( the causative agents) is just overlooking it simply because they’re are focusing on the Brightest side of the moon. .. just their personal benefits?!
There are so many undealt questions that need answers. A lot of problems are hanging without solutions, Severe diseases are left untackled yet vaccines and remedies are with us. With those few words let me one-off and wish you nice stay where you’re as we tirelessly,,courageously ,,tackle the basic and crucial issues for betterment of the World.
Yours at work,
From Dares salaam, Tanzania’ Thanks
